Wow! Once again the end of the year has come up fast. Here is some brief info on what classes have been up to and what is to come.
K - 3rd: Has been getting ready for Spring Musical (May 17th). This year we will be performing "Three Trees". This is the classic story of three trees in the forest who long to be something great. After being cut down, none of them seem to become what they were hoping for… but God has bigger plans. One tree becomes the manger Christ was laid in, another the boat on the sea of Gallalie when Jesus calms the storm, and finally one becomes the cross.
3rd Grade has picked parts and solos - packets will go home with students by April 20th
A letter will be sent home the week of April 23rd with costume details.
4th and 5th Grade: We have been working through the final lessons in the music curriculum and look forward to completing a composition and Garage Band Projects.
7/8 Computers: Students just completed a podcasting project on their netbook computers with a program called "Audacity". Next week I hope to start them on a similar project using Garage Band on the school's MacBook computers. Our final large project of the year will be student produced animation projects using digital cameras and Movie Maker.
7/8 Religion: We have been working through selected chapters on Revelation. We are currently in chapter 11 discussing the persecution of believers and the church.
